Recipe: Berry Parfait

If you are ready for a quick easy healthy desert or breakfast change; you will love my parfait. I use plain low fat yogurt which allows me to sweeten and flavor it myself. This also lessens the calories. Stevia has 0 calories. I like to double or triple this recipe and leave them in the fridge for the next day or evening snack.

BERRY PARFAIT

  • 1 32 oz container low fat yogurt*
  • 1-1/2 tsp Health Masters Stevia
  • 1 Tbs Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup fresh blue berries
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries

Add Stevia and vanilla to yogurt in container. Mix thoroughly. Evenly pour yogurt in 4 individual 10 oz tumblers (about 3 tbs) Start layering with sliced strawberries, then yogurt, then blueberries. Evenly distribute layers. Top with yogurt. Garnish with a blueberry and a slice of strawberry.

* I use Stoneyfield Farms Yogurt because it contains 6 different friendly bacteria that enhance digestion and immune health and you can save money buying the larger container.
